NAGC 2016 Communications School: “Shaping the Future” June 7-9, 2016, Washington, DC The NAGC Communications School is the only event of its kind that provides invaluable networking opportunities and practical educational sessions to help government communicators increase their skills. The event is geared toward federal, state, and local government communicators, including contractors who direct and facilitate government communications – editors, writers, graphic artists, webmasters, video professionals, broadcasters, photographers, information specialists and agency spokespersons.
NAGC Names Bob Muir 2016 Communicator of the Year The National Association of Government Communicators has selected Bob Muir, manager of the Press Office of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, as its 2016 Communicator of the Year. Muir earned the award for his responsiveness, subject matter expertise, and straight talk in communicating to media and with the public during the 2015 Southern California drought.
