Accreditation and Certificate Series

NAGC has arranged valuable resources for members who want to take their skills to the next level.

APR: Accredited in Public Relations
NAGC has joined the Universal Accreditation Board so that members can apply for the APR designation. It is recommended that applicants have 5+ years of paid, full-time professional or teaching experience in public relations. The fee is $385. http://www.praccreditation.org.

Certificate in Government Communications
Through a partnership with the Center Applied Learning at the American Public University System, NAGC members will be able to complete a series of online courses through an accredited institution.  The program is still in development.  However, the series is being designed specifically for government communicators.  Each course will be 3 credits and will be able to be completed in 8 weeks.A certificate will be earned upon completion of four core courses and two electives.

Tuition Grant for Undergraduate and Graduate Education<strong.
Through a partnership with the American Public University System members of NAGC may receive a 5% tuition grant and a Book Grant for ebooks at no charge to students earning undergraduate academic credit. Information on this NAGC member opportunity can be found at http://apuspartners.com/nagc.
