A Best-in-Show Award was presented to the The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California for their entry in the Video - Television programs/Entertainment category, entitled “How Zombies and Tough Guys Helped Save Water.” The NAGC Board of Directors determines the Best-in-Show award each year from among all the first-place awards.

"A twist on entertainment classics, Metropolitan’s video series featured Zombies and gangsters to reach millions of Southern Californians with clever and memorable water conservation messaging. As the state entity tasked with assessing gender equity in multiple issue areas, the Commission is uniquely positioned to help ensure that women’s needs are centered as we continue to suffer the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.  A twist on entertainment classics, Metropolitan’s video series featured Zombies and gangsters to reach millions of Southern Californians with clever and memorable water conservation messaging. The project was done in-house saving hundreds of thousands of dollars in production costs and emerged as the year's highest performing video and digital assets.

 “News Hour with Walter Cronkid” is a video series that breaks down important news so even a kid can understand! It presents information on a variety of topics, including tax-increment financing, the City’s mill-and-overlay process, organics recycling and more.
