Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

At the National Association of Government Communicators (NAGC), diversity, equity, and inclusion are a core part of who we are. NAGC values diversity and strives to create a welcoming community in which all individuals are respected and included.

NAGC celebrates its diverse membership and is committed to a welcoming and accepting environment that does not discriminate against any member, potential member, vendor, partner, or employee because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, status as a veteran, socio-economic status, educational background, disability, or any other federal, state, or local protected class.

NAGC will continue to evolve into a more inclusive and equitable association by:

  • Fostering a culture of open-mindedness, compassion, and inclusiveness among individuals and agencies.
  • Creating and maintaining opportunities for engagement, education, and discourse related to issues of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Implementing initiatives that support diversity, equity, and inclusion in our educational offerings.
  • Making efforts for inclusion on our board, committees, and task forces.
  • Honoring freedom of expression and civility of discourse as fundamental to personal, professional, and organizational growth.
  • Addressing instances of racism, sexism, homophobia, classism, ageism, and other forms of prejudice, bullying, and discrimination.

NAGC is committed to fostering a powerful community of integration, inclusion, and respect.
