For her work in revitalizing the Las Vegas wedding industry

When Lynn took office, Las Vegas’ wedding industry—one of the region’s signature economic drivers—was in a 20-year decline. But rather than accept that trend, she leveraged her background in journalism to craft a bold narrative that reignited interest, investment, and pride in the "Wedding Capital of the World."

She successfully lobbied the Nevada Legislature to create a $1 million annual wedding promotion fund, launched global campaigns like “Five Million Love Stories,” and secured award-winning media partnerships—contributing to $3.3 billion in economic impact for Clark County.

Her efforts reversed a two-decade drop in marriage licenses and reinvigorated an industry that supports more than 18,000 jobs.

But her impact doesn’t stop there. Lynn modernized internal operations, digitalized public records, launched newsletters and stakeholder meetings, and built a dedicated wedding industry chamber of commerce. Her strategic vision brought together government, tourism, and media in ways that are both innovative and impactful. A gifted storyteller, Emmy-nominated writer, and public servant, Lynn has shown how powerful communication can transform not only perception but policy and economic vitality.
